About Us

Founded in 1908 by Marshall Alworth and still privately held by the Alworth family, Oneida Commercial Real Estate Company entered the Duluth market by developing and constructing the tallest building in Duluth, the Alworth Building. Over time, the business expanded into third-party management and leasing of commercial real estate and building service contracting which led to the formation of Oneida Commercial Real Estate Services.

Today, Oneida Commercial Real Estate Company remains strong, and has emerged as a leader in the commercial real estate industry. Under the direction of a talented and experienced management team, Oneida Commercial Real Estate Services maintains its corporate offices in Duluth, Minnesota and offers a wide array of services to its clients. Additionally, Oneida owns property throughout the United States and is seeking further acquisitions in stable yet growing markets.

OUR TEAM:

Patricia S. McGaffey

President & CEO

Patricia McGaffey is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Oneida Realty Company.  She has been with the company for 29 years and held significant responsibilities in all aspects of the company.

It is her experience as Human Resource Manager that makes her especially fitted for the new role as CEO.  Simply stated, Oneida is a people company.  It is a full service commercial real estate firm that is unique because Oneida is the only firm in the region that provides real estate property management, brokage, building maintenance, janitorial, construction and cleaning all under one roof.  Our employees are extremely diverse and through tradition and excellent HR practices, our employees stay with us.

As the company has grown, Patty has grown with it.  Most prominently, Patty became a licensed Property Manager in 2014, and the VP Corporate Administration in 2016.

Patty is a member of the Building Owners and Managers Association and is on the advisory Board of Duluth Energy.  She is the 2015 graduate of the Duluth Chamber of Commerce – Leadership Duluth program. She sits on the Downtown Duluth Skywalk Committee and is a board member of Downtown Duluth.  In addition, she is affiliated with Northland Human Resource Association and the Society of Human Resource Management.

Alex S. Tessier

Vice President

Alex Tessier is Vice President of Oneida Realty Company joining Oneida in April of 2022. As Vice President, Alex is involved in all the company’s property management activities. Alex is also responsible for the management of multiple Condominium and Townhome Associations that contract with Oneida Commercial Real Estate Services.

Prior to joining Oneida Realty Company, Alex spent 12 years in the hospitality industry holding management roles at two of the top resorts in Northern Minnesota.

Alex is a current member of the Area Partnership for Economic Expansion (APEX) and the Duluth Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA).

Amy R. Plesha

Controller

Amy Plesha is the Controller of Oneida Realty Company. Amy has been with the company over 17 years. Amy is a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a degree in Accounting. She is responsible for general oversight and administration of all the company’s accounting activities.

William J. Kubiski

Director of Facilities

William Kubiski is the Director of Facilities for Oneida Realty Company. Bill has been with the company over 33 years. Bill is a graduate of the Duluth Technical College with a degree in Building Construction. Bill is responsible for all areas of building maintenance. He coordinates and supervises all phases of building construction. He is responsible for all design and renovation projects to accommodate tenant and building owner’s needs. This includes project cost estimating, developing, and maintaining preventative maintenance plans. Bill also provides design in Auto CAD designing and provides the programming of HVAC digital control systems.

Bill is responsible for researching and incorporating all ADA specifications and building fire codes throughout all owned and managed properties. Bill works with tenants and building owners to help provide an efficient and safe working environment. Bill oversees the maintenance and construction needs of over 2 Million square feet of property.

Amanda L. Engebretson

Parking Coordinator

Amanda Engebretson is the Parking Coordinator for Oneida Realty Company Amanda has been with the company over 10 years, joining in 2014 as a receptionist. Amanda is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Superior with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Amanda is responsible for the management of all the monthly and transient parking activities at the company’s four parking facilities.

Jamie E. Glitsos

Cleaning Operations Manager

Jamie Glitsos is the Cleaning Operations Manager for Oneida Realty Company. Jamie has been with the company over 21 years. She is responsible for overseeing all aspects of complete building cleaning operations including training and scheduling of cleaning personnel.

Jamie establishes standards and special project work procedures and coordination of cleaning activities with other building operations. She is responsible for supplies inventory, vendor negotiations and equipment procurement. Jamie oversees the cleaning of over 2 Million square feet of property every day.

Mark J. Snaza

Window Services Manager

Mark Snaza is the Window Services Manager for Oneida Realty Company. Mark has been with the company over 26 years. Mark has been in the window cleaning industry over 38 years. Mark and his crew handle the most difficult tasks with the utmost professionalism. High rise window cleaning, blind cleaning, and route window cleaning are just a few of the services offered by the Window Services Department. Mark’s operation is responsible for the high rise window cleaning of forty plus buildings to include major Health Care, Office, and Hospitality properties. Mark is a member of the International Window Cleaning Association (IWCA).

Steven G. LaFlamme

Retired

Steven LaFlamme was the President of Oneida Realty Company and a Licensed Real Estate Broker. Steve had been with the company over 45 years. Steve is a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a degree in Accounting. He was responsible for general oversight and administration of all the company’s property management and services activities. He was actively involved and experienced in all areas of commercial real estate management including construction, leasing, contract administration, budget and financial accounting, vendor negotiations, security and parking ramp management.

Steve is currently chair of the Minnesota Building Owners and Managers Coalition, Board member of Duluth Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), Board member of the Area Partnership for Economic Expansion (APEX) and on the advisory Board of Duluth Energy. Steve was a former board member at the International level of the Building Owners and Managers Association, Board member of the Downtown Waterfront District, and former chair of the Duluth Parking Commission.
