Peter Alworth Purchases Oneida Realty Company

The purchase of Oneida Realty Company by Peter Alworth on December 30, 2021 continues the tradition of family ownership of the company, which was founded 114 years ago by Marshal Henry Alworth.

Oneida Realty Company is a well-established commercial real estate services firm with a long history in Duluth, Minnesota.  It has been able to adapt and evolve, expanding its services and growing its portfolio of properties.  The company rents office space, maintains buildings, serves as property manager, builds out spaces for tenants, provides janitorial services, manages parking and each night cleans about 2 million square feet of office space.  Oneida currently manages over 35 buildings and 4 parking ramps in Duluth.

Peter’s great grandfather, Marshal Henry Alworth started the company in 1908 with the purchase of the Lonsdale Building, the Alworth Building was built a few years later.  Peter’s grandfather, Royal D. Alworth Sr. acquired the company in 1932 and immediately approved plans to build the Medical Arts Building, which will be celebrating its 90^th year in 2023. 

Under the direction of a talented and experienced management team, Oneida maintains its corporate offices in downtown Duluth, Minnesota and continues to look at areas of expansion in its business.
